European computer accessories supplier ICIDU has made more ground in its quest to crack the Middle East retail market by inking a distribution agreement with Exit40 just weeks after the appointment of 3GGhead Electronics in Kuwait.

Exit40, which has offices in Jebel Ali and belongs to the Morpheus IT Group, will stock the full range of ICIDU equipment, which includes mice, headsets, notebook bags and cleaning and memory products. The distributor is authorised to sell throughout the region.

ICIDU claims its offering differs from other accessory vendors as products are displayed in a clear and simple way on pre-made racks designed to catch the customer’s eye.

It has set Exit40 the task of selling more than 60 metres of racks into the retail, reseller and hypermarket segments during the first year of the partnership.

“Our tie-up with a strong, well-established channel partner of the stature of Exit40 will enable ICIDU products to penetrate the highly competitive market in a short time by taking advantage of its unparalleled distribution network,” said Marc de Beunje, MEA channel sales manager at ICIDU, who previously worked for Ashley and Belkin in the region.

“We are confident that Exit40’s commitment to customers’ growth through the provision of high-quality services and customised solutions will positively impact the distribution and sale of ICIDU products and extend our leadership and reach in the sophisticated UAE and regional market,” added de Beunje.
