Al Hathboor and Anantara form Second Life consultancy
Partnership will help Middle East companies establish presence in the virtual world
Al Hathboor Informatics has announced the launch of a new consultancy to help companies in the Middle East to create a presence in the virtual world Second Life.
The consultancy, which has been established in association with Anantara Solutions, will provide assistance to companies in setting up a presence in the virtual world, and understanding how best to market themselves.
Many companies have established a presence in Second Life, using virtual real estate for a range of roles such as a promotional venue, or online meeting space. The site had some 900,000 active users in September.
G B Prabhat, founder and CEO of Anantara Solutions, said: “There is a whole new market in the virtual world today. Having a virtual world presence in future is the equivalent of having a website in the past. Second Life presence will help companies identify, interact and collaborate with their global audience.
“Through its Second Life consulting practice, Anantara will help clients take full advantage of the business possibilities in that environment. With this practice, Anantara becomes a pioneer in applying Second Generation Outsourcing (SGO) principles to establishing Second Life presence,” he added.
Anantara is registered with Linden Lab, the makers of second Life, as a Full-service Solution Provider.

God help Al Hathboor on this tie-up! Anantara's Second life 'practice' is a cruel JOKE! NO. It isn't. They actually do 'PRACTICE' their skills on clients! One swallow (and good PR) doesn't make a summer (or a second life consulting company). Ask them how many projects they have done.. or better still.. you should interact with their second life 'guru' to be shocked by their incredulous claims!!! I should know.. why? let's just say it's a client's point of view :)
