As a leading provider of voice, wireless and networking hardware for consumers and small businesses, Linksys, a division of Cisco, is expecting to attract much attention with some of its latest offerings at GULFCOMMS.

The company recently unveiled the Linksys by Cisco RangePlus Wireless Router (WRT110). The product, which is the size of a small paperback book, provides high-speed and long-range wireless networking.

At the centre of a home network, the device allows consumers to share high-speed internet connections, files, printers, and multi-player games, as well as run media-intensive applications such as video, without needing to run wires all over the home.

The device features multiple-input and output smart antenna technology that captures faint signals for extended range and reduced dead spots. The device is faster than Wireless-G when connected to RangePlus or Wireless-N, and is also compatible with Wireless-G devices.

It also has advanced wireless security with Wi-Fi Protected Access.

The RangePlus technology is designed to reduce dead spots in the wireless coverage area in the home.
