Access control systems vendor Al-Salwa Computer Devices will be on the hunt for new resellers and customers during its third consecutive outing at GITEX Technology Week.

The UAE-based company already boasts a number of high-profile customers in the region, including the Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices of Oracle International, Alpha Data, and Al Ghandi Auto.

Osama Ahmed Bader, general manager of Al Salwa says expanding the company's customer base is its top priority at GITEX 2008.

"We are hoping to do deals with new resellers and end-users based in the Emirates and from across the region," he says. "At previous instalments, we have been very successful in this regard."

The company offers a full range of time-attendance systems and biometric access control devices. With the region's burgeoning real estate sector, Al Salwa has also recently branched into home automation technology.

Al Salwa is headquartered in Sharjah, with a branch office in Qatar. While the company is mainly keen to discuss opportunities with Middle East-based distributors and resellers at GITEX, Bader says he has also received calls from parties located in the UK and the United States.
