IT technology solutions provider Rittal will demonstrate what its new infrastructure solution for high-availability data centres at GITEX Technology Week.

The Rimatrix X5 is designed to guarantee data centre availability every day of the year, complete with risk analysis, installation services, commissioning and maintenance.

"The Middle East market is very important to us," reveals Rittal marketing communications manager Felicisima Poblete. "It's important for us to show that we have a product that we believe in that can compete with other brands in the market. We've already displayed the X5 in Germany and the response was very positive so we're hopeful and expectant of a similar response at GITEX."

A key component of the X5 is its liquid cooling package, a scalable high-performance cooling solution with a capacity of 20kw per rack.

The technology is designed to function as a modular climate control for the database to offset risks of performance loss or equipment failure often associated with heat problems in data centres.

In response to growing demands on data centre power management the X5 has also embraced the "n+1" concept - as a three-phase UPS for a power range from 10 to 120 kVA per rack operating on the basis of double track technology, designed to enhance system performance while keeping costs down.
