Jacky's increases its show presence

Lifestyle and Office Automation products to be focus of Shopper assault.

Jacky's Middle East has embraced its position as the largest exhibitor at this year's GITEX Shopper, committing significant resources to ensuring the event is its most successful yet.

"This is the major event we have been looking forward to every year and our hundreds of sales staffs have undergone an intensive 45-day training programme for them to be more proficient at demonstrating the latest features as well as give better services to the customers," says Ashish Panjabi, chief operating officer, Jacky's Middle East.

"We are training our sales staff to help customers decide which products most suited to their requirements."

"The idea this year is to showcase leading technologies and brand offerings more clearly as we not only look to sell but also educate customers on where technology is going."

Panjabi expects consumer demand for cutting-edge notebook computers to continue at this year's GITEX Shopper.

"GITEX Shopper has primarily always been an event for selling notebooks and we don't see that changing," he says. "We will be working with brands like HP, Toshiba, Sony Vaio, Dell and Acer among others at this year's event."

Panjabi also expects hybrid digital video cameras and Blu-ray HD video products to prove big hits among consumers at this year's event.

"We [Jacky's] are looking to cement our position as the leading [consumer electronics] retailer at this year's GITEX Shopper," says Panjabi.
