Misk Multimedia, a Hong Kong-based electronics manufacturer, has high hopes for this year’s show.

The company, which has a regional office in Dubai, was established in 1994 in Hong Kong, where it first started making electronic dictionaries. It now has a regional office in Dubai, as well as operations across the region, Canada and the US.

Its electronic dictionaries translate languages from English to a number of languages, including Persian, Turkish and Arabic. The company has also made a name for itself by making electronic digital Qurans.

Two versions aim to cater to different segments of the market. The MP3 and MP4 version is priced at around Dhs200 ($55). The high-end devices are produced in the same factory where the iPhone is produced, and so it looks just like Apple's bestselling product. This version retails at around Dhs800 ($218).
