Pan-India IT vendor Techcom hopes to use GITEX Technology Week to promote its range of products, and expects Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) devices to prove particularly popular.

UPS products are connected to PCs and in the event of a power outage or disruption, they can keep the PC running for up to 15 minutes, giving users time to save their work or back up data. Techcom also says its other product lines, including speakers and computer accessories, should perform well in the region.

With more than seven years' experience in the Indian market, the company has made a name for itself selling a range of computer peripherals and accessories, and has moved into the audio-visual home entertainment segment. It boasts more than 100 products in 20-25 product categories.
