Blue Coat is keen to underline its commitment to the Middle East enterprise IT sector at this year's GITEX Technology Week.

Blue Coat appliances and software technology are designed to ensure secure web communications and accelerate the delivery of business applications for all users across the distributed enterprise - including internet gateways, branch offices, datacentres and individual end-points.

According to Nidal Taha, Blue Coat's Middle East regional director, Blue Coat's product range of WAN Application Delivery and Secure Web Gateway solutions accelerate application performance to LAN speeds securely and cost-effectively.

Blue Coat, which recently acquired Packeteer, is aiming to enhance its own solutions by integrating Packeteer's WAN traffic prioritisation technologies.

"We will run various live demos during the show for products such as ProxyClient, a WAN optimisation software client and PacketShaper solution, which provides visibility and control over network traffic," explains Taha.

Taha describes the Middle East as a strategically important market for the Californian company.
