Fleet Management Solutions (FMS) will demonstrate its Iridium network tracking and monitoring technology solution to prospective clients at GITEX Technology Week.

"Iridum allows clients to track their assets in near real time over the web. It takes between two to five seconds before you can see the asset," says Abu-Bakr Mirza, business development manager, FMS.

Together with the Iridium network, FMS will also display ORBCOMM, a less expensive alternative which has a two to four minute delay before the customer is able to see the asset over the web.

"We will also be promoting the MLT 400I and MLT 300Q tracking services. These are quite unique in the region in that we charge a monthly flat rate. Since we are satellite based there are no roaming charges as opposed to our GSM competitors," explains Mirza.

FMS provides complete mobile asset tracking and management solutions for multiple industries. Combining the latest GPS technology with advanced two-way satellite-based communications, FMS delivers a turn-key system that provides its customers with measurable improvements in asset utilisation and labour productivity, while reducing the risk of theft and cost of recovery.

"Although we are still very new to the region we use our Dubai office to serve the region as well as North Africa and India. GITEX Technology Week is very important to us in terms of meeting prospective clients and marketing our services to new countries," says Mirza.
