Sofrecom has opened a new office in Dubai as part of a wider marketing strategy to expand into the region, according to Sofrecom sales and marketing account manager Sébastien Cuiec.

The company is the services and consultancy subsidiary of France Telecom Orange.

"Sofrecom is already present in Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Qatar, Oman, Syria, UAE, Egypt and Yemen and our new office in Dubai will enable us to market our products and services better to customers in the Middle East," says Cuiec.

This new office is essential to the company's success in the Middle East as it enables Sofrecom to offer support to telecom service providers that are facing numerous challenges in the region. "The deregulation of the market, the emergence of new technologies and changing customer needs are pushing telecommunication providers to rethink their business model and market positioning, " says Cuiec.

"With its skillset, experience and cross-functional solutions in telecoms consultancy and network engineering, Sofrecom can help telecom operators, regulatory authorities, governments, investors and financial institutions to turn their ideas into sound and profitable operations," he says.

"GITEX is a good opportunity to meet with our customers in the Middle East and to offer compelling services and technical assistance to support their businesses in the region."
