Industry leaders out in force at GULFCOMMS

Privatisation and rapid growth make region's telecomms market attractive to the world

Major communications industry players including Aastra Middle East, Alcatel, BlackBerry, du, Etisalat, NEC Philips Orange Business Services, Nortel Networks, Potevio, Thuraya Satellite and Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA) will showcase a range of cutting-edge products and technologies at this year's GULFCOMMS.

Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General, Dubai World Trade Centre, the organiser of GULFCOMMS, says: "The number of international companies set to exhibit at this year's event is hugely exciting, because it demonstrates the intense interest in the regional market."

GULFCOMMS 2008 also includes the GITEX Technology Week Global Conference, one of the region's largest and most high-profile IT forums, which this year will include an increased number of sessions dedicated to GULFCOMMS.

GULFCOMMS 2008 is set to attract a massive number of visitors and exhibitors from emerging markets including China, India and Pakistan, providing a further boost to its international profile.
