A new generation of PCs, HP TouchSmart IQ500, has been introduced by HP Middle East.

The TouchSmart IQ500 is the culmination of twenty five years of HP touch technology design and development. With the help of software developed by the company, the computer is able to recognize finger movements for a truly hands-on experience.

Without the use of regular input devices like the keyboard or mouse, customers can interact with their photos, videos and music. For example, the TouchSmart music application allows consumers to browse playlists and photos can be edited and shared using the TouchSmart photo application. Users can also watch and record their favorite television shows, burn personal videos and upload them online.

“The HP TouchSmart PC is all about reinventing the personal computer experience,” said Alisa Matuskina, consumer desktops category manager, PSG, HP Middle East.

Requiring only one power cord to set up, the HP TouchSmart IQ500 PC is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It features stereo speakers, an integrated microphone and webcam, and a 22-inch high-definition widescreen display with an adjustable screen for maximum comfort.

Other features include 4 GB of memory, a media card reader and a large-capacity high-speed hard drive

Pricing for the HP TouchSmart IQ500 is expected to start around AED 7,599.
