I think this is just a gimmick to boost product sales as Microsoft themselves know there is nothing they would really do to eliminate this. They could have their software enhanced to improve activation methods, having periodic activation techniques to combat piracy. They know that if they do this, they would loose market because of increased usage of free software. Hence they might be doing a balancing act.

Four Month's Back ,I tried to send a pirate report about a U.A.E base company ,which ,they are using almost MS,AUTODESK.ADOBE,... pirate softwares , but all BSA e-mail address in local & int. it's wrong and all rejected my e-mail and nobody care about this,please don't advertise for BSA , Only is SHOW OFF !
