Souq.com Stores, a service that allows businesses and individuals to set up their own customized store online, is luring retailers in the region with its e-commerce benefits.

Featuring over seventy stores, several leading companies such as Cellucom and RadioShack have already chosen to set up virtual stores on Souq.com to gain a wider reach.

Launched earlier this year, the Souq Stores feature offers customized branded pages where sellers can showcase all their listings. With over 140,000 registered users on Souq.com, businesses can market their products to a pre-existing community of consumers and achieve quick turnover with minimal upfront investment.

"We have noticed the number of small and medium size businesses as well as entrepreneurial ventures that approach Souq to showcase their items rising steadily, and this is effectively what has motivated us to launch Souq.com Stores," said Sameh Lutfi, sales and marketing manager at Souq.com.

"The initial response for Souq Stores has been very encouraging. We are looking to add additional features to the Stores in the coming months," Lutfi added.

"By providing a platform that allows other companies to drive their own businesses, Souq.com has played an important role in boosting e-commerce in the region," said Ronaldo Mouchawar, CEO of Souq.com. "Individuals and businesses have been able to entirely bypass the difficulties that come with setting up new online businesses and have been able to profit with greater margins than they would have been able to in normal trading channels."
