Info2Cell.com launches SMS and MMS services for domestic telecommunication market in joint venture with Sudan's ADU Communication Technology

Info2Cell.com has launched mobile short message and multimedia messaging services (SMS and MMS) in Sudan through a joint venture with ADU Communication Technology, a telecommunications specialist in Sudan.

The partnership will see premium content services for the booming domestic mobile telecommunications market in Sudan. The service covers categories including news, sports, Islamic and entertainment content.

"Sudan's telecommunications sector is still in the middle stages of development and thus represents a lucrative growth area. This market is vital for expansion plans that will help us maintain our leading position in the broader Middle Eastern arena. Recent projects launched under the new services include the LAKI and Women in Islam channels and full coverage of Euro 2008 via SMS and MMS. Additional services being planned comprises of ringtones, Java games and the introduction of ‘Magalati', the first SMS magazine in the country.

Info2Cell.com, the leading wireless application service provider in the MENA region, has seen an expansion in its subscription base, with a further 23.3% increase expected by the end of 2008.

The region's mobile sector is expected to attain 10% revenue growth towards 2012 to reach almost USD 40 billion in value.
