BT has launched its secure networking quick start service for enterprises in the Middle East. According to the telecoms provider the quick start service will allow organisations to assess their network security rapidly and identify weaknesses. This in turn will allow them to take cost-effective corrective and preventive measures.

"Today's connected world brings enormous potential for organisations to communicate more effectively with customers, employees and business partners - but it also brings new security challenges. With malicious attacks and misuse of organization resources on the increase across the Middle East, these day-to-day business activities are under constant threat," said Tareque Choudhury, BT's Head of business continuity and security practice for MEA.

Along with this latest offering, BT continues to offer risk and compliance management and business continuity services across the region. These are designed to help organisations to develop an approach to risk and compliance that will bring significant business benefits in the management of their operational risks.

"Compliance with changing regulatory environments has become a significant issue in the Middle East's business landscape.  Successful management of compliance and operational risk across your networked IT infrastructure can significantly improve companies' profitability. This in turn can contribute to an improvement in credit ratings, a reduction in the cost of capital, and increased stakeholder confidence in regional businesses," Choudhury concluded.
