Acer lauds KSA market with services signing

Acer signs Hasoub to build services and disbtribution capabilities for Saudi Arabia

IT hardware manufacturer Acer Computer has reaffirmed its commitment to the Saudi Arabian market with the addition of services and distribution specialist Hasoub to its channel network.

According to a prediction by research house Business Monitor International (BMI), the KSA IT market is expected to be worth $5 billion by 2012. Acer claims the appointment of Hasoub as an executive partner is a move to capitalise on this future growth.

"As an executive partner, we are looking to significantly increase Acer's reach in the Kingdom, and help Acer address the needs of this growing market," said Sami Said Hassan, general manager at Hasoub.

"Hasoub partners with global brands to bring innovative and state-of-the-art products and technology to Saudi businesses wanting to compete in the global arena," added Hassan.

Shashank Sharma, country manager for KSA, Egypt and EW Africa at Acer Computer hopes that Hasoub's experience in engineering, technical services, customer care and on-demand logistical support will help to increase the strength of Acer's brand and its availability in KSA.

"The numbers of PC users in Saudi Arabia continue to rise, Acer relies on dynamic partners who will make our products more widely available," concluded Sharma.
