Authorised HP partners have a new face to work with after the PC vendor revealed that former enterprise storage and server lead Bernhard Isemann will manage its Solutions Partner Organisation (SPO) team in the Middle East.

Isemann's elevation to the role - the most senior HP channel position in the Middle East - follows the promotion of Salim Ziade to SPO director for the Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa.

Since joining the SPO team last year Isemann has made a big impact in HP's internal partner set-up, building the midmarket and enterprise channel for storage and server products. He also established the value add distribution initiative for ISVs to penetrate landline and mobile operators in the region and launched the HP ‘Openforce' programme.

Isemann is set to report to regional PSG chief Serdar Urcar, who is predicting that he will take the company to a "new level" in its demand creation ability through Preferred Partners. "He will also make sure that we implement the changes to our Preferred Partner program that we recently announced to the external world," stated Urcar.

Prior to joining HP, Isemann worked as country manager for networking and IT infrastructure outfit Syscom for five years, and served in sales positions at Alcatel-Lucent and Sun Microsystems.
