AMD gives Middle East first look at triple core CPUs

AMD will present the first regional live demonstration of its new triple core Phenom processors at Saudi Gitex

AMD and its regional distributor Almasa IT Distribution will be giving high-performance PC enthusiasts the first look at its new triple-core gaming system at Gitex Saudi Arabia.

The company will present the first live demonstration in the Middle East of the world's only triple-core processor, the AMD Phenom X3 and the 780 chipset.

The chip giant will also be demonstrating its Spider high-performance platform, which combines AMD Phenom quad core processors with the AMD 790 chipset, to enable support for up to four GPUs with power consumption of under 65 watts, for superior gaming performance.

Gautam Srivastava, vice president , sales and marketing and managing director for AMD, Middle East, Africa and Pakistan, commented: "Through our regional distribution partner, Almasa, we want to educate customers about AMD's compelling line of solutions that are designed to empower a broad range of customers to experience the performance and multi-tasking capability of true multi-core technology.

AMD solutions will be exhibiting with Almasa IT Distribution on stand no. 233.

Intel never came close. But sporadic black patches of under performance and failures from AMD, that too remotely, didn't allow it to set itself to heightened flight it deserved. But long way to go. AMD is an addiction over Intel.
