Barrett will visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE, and is due to meet officials from local governments, telecoms operators and educational establishments.

The company is expected to announce a number of initiatives relating to digital inclusion and access to technology to coincide with the visit.

Intel has been in the UAE for over twelve years and has witnessed the significant ways in which technology has changed the gulf region and our daily lives. For us at Intel, it is vital that we continue to work with government bodies and major Arab market players to lay technological foundations that will empower generations to come."
