AUB to sell exam scheduling software with White Mountain

Deal with White Mountain Technologies will take American University of Beirut's exam scheduling tools to global market

The American University of Beirut (AUB) is set for a commercial launch its exam scheduling software, following the signing of an agreement with White Mountain Technologies.

Under the deal, White Mountain will develop, market and sell the university's Universi-Tools Exam Scheduling Software, to educational establishments worldwide.

Ghassan Abboud, managing director of White Mountain said: "We are very proud to become partners with AUB. We're taking intelligent know-how, which was conceived of, tried and tested at AUB, and transferring it to the benefit of the higher education sector. We're merging academic research and development with market demand."

The Universi-Tools Exam Scheduling application was designed by the university to minimize timetabling conflicts for students, with scalability up to thousands of students.

Dr. Fadia Homaidan, director of AUB Office of Grants & Contracts said: "We selected to partner with White Mountain because we appreciate the synergy and believe in their ability to drive the effort. The success of this partnership will help orient AUB's approach to the corporate world."
