Professionals involved in the region's ICT sector are set to converge in Egypt for the four-day Cairo ICT 2008 Trade Fair and Forum, which will start in Cairo on February 24.

The annual event, which is being held at the Cairo International Conference Centre, will include conferences and forums focusing on customer service in the region's telecommunications industry, and the motives and effects of regional telcos entering new markets.

"The conference sessions will discuss some of the most pressing technology issues worldwide including technical concepts that have become a priority for all business sectors," Ossama Kamal, managing director of Trade Fairs International, the organiser of Cairo ICT, said.

"Multinational exhibitors recognise the importance of attending Cairo ICT, which explains the growth in this sector each year," he added.

"Delegations from Saudi Arabia and the UAE are participating in the exhibition this year in an initiative to boost cooperation between the ICT community in those countries and Egypt.
