Samsung launched what it claimed was the first mobile TV phone in the Middle East this month.

The SGH-P910 was presented to guests during the Doha Asian Games with a full rollout in Qatar expected to follow.

The handset is, according to the Korean vendor, the first DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting) phone to be released in the region.

The P910 provides large-volume multimedia, television content to consum- ers via the mobile handset using the DVB-H format, which is supported by Qatar’s Qtel. To receive TV signals, users flip the 2.2-inch TFT LCD screen to the horizontal position.
