The Flaming Lips - Race for the Prize
Arguably purveyors of the happiest rock gigs on the planet, Wayne Coyne and his crew really let rip at this concert in Oklahoma, USA. Streamers, balloons, an anthemic tune and a UFO stage set that Coyne actually made in his back garden; it doesn't get more uplifting than this.

Linkin Park - Lying From You
One of the band's best performances of the song, taken from a gig down in deepest Texas gun country. Definitely worth a click.

Jimi Hendrix - Hound Dog (Acoustic)
Guitar aficionados will love this. Jimi plays Hound Dog, a classic rock number, on an acoustic guitar and in a distinctly un-Elvis style. One comment claims it's the ‘best video on YouTube'. If you're into hippie guitar gems, you might agree.

Metallica - Master of Puppets
An awesome clip taken from a live in Seattle set that saw the metal giants tear it up and then some (before they went rubbish and started talking to each other so much).

Radiohead - Paranoid Android
Filmed at Glastonbury in the summer of 2003, this single from the band's massive ‘OK Computer' album is note-perfect.

In 2005 Gwen teamed up with a full marching band to create an outside-to-inside spectacle at the Teen Choice Awards.

Beyonce & Prince - Medley
2004's Grammy awards in the US featured quite a treat: the purple pop nymph returning to form alongside Destiny Child's central songstress.

Outkast - Ms. Jackson
Thought by many fans to be one of their best performances of this track, renowned metrodresser Andre 3000 and everyone's favourite named Antwan ‘Big Boi' Patton truly do the business at 2002's Grammys, with the help no less of a school full of junior wannabes.

Kylie - Better the Devil You Know
Post-Cancer scare and post-Frenchie boyfriend, everyone's favourite mini pop icon's tour heads home to a rather rapturous reception.

John Legend - Each Day Gets Better
Three-time Grammy award winner Legend performs Each Day Gets Better from his new album ‘Once Again', at London's famous Royal Albert Hall. A great quality rendition (and video) of one smooth track.

Lauryn Hill - Everything Is Everything
Recent album- and Dubai concert-wise she may have lost the thread, but she turned it on with style during her recent British gigs.

Maxwell - Sumthin Sumthin
Filmed just days after 9/11/2001 in Atlanta, US, Maxwell charms the crowd - and the ladies - with Sumthin Sumthin. The kind of gritty footage YouTube was born to show.

DJ Mar-T - Amnesia
Beat-wise, this one pulls no punches. As this vid's YouTube uploader puts it, "Mar-T blows the lid of the main room at Amnesia". That's in Ibiza y'know.

The Prodigy - Firestarter
A Glastonbury classic. Mr. Flint pulls his own face into a horror film's worth of contortions and it's all so much better than the group's Dubai Desert Rock 2007 performance of the same tune - largely because this one came with a serious dollop of 'aving it' atmosphere!
