Mass Effect hits shelves today

Long-awaited sci-fi RPG from Bioware on sale in Middle East

Much-awaited Xbox sci-fi game Mass Effect goes on sale across the Middle East today.

The game, a blend of roleplaying and tactical combat, has already won 52 awards. It has been developed by Bioware, the studio behind hit RPG Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

"Mass Effect is an epic space saga exclusive for the Xbox 360 that spans the entire galaxy," said Aman Sangar, product marketing manager, Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division, Middle East. "Combining a rich and engaging narrative with intense sci-fi tactical combat, ‘Mass Effect' features an immersive and cinematic gameplay experience rarely seen before in video games."

Estimated retail price for Mass Effect will be AED 269 in the UAE, and SR 279 in Saudi Arabia.
