First of all, a big congratulations to the whole team at itp.net - the site has been presented with the UAE Web Awards Committee's Outstanding Achievement Award for IT Portals. It's an honour for itp.net to be recognized by the committee, and we would like to thank them for the award.

As editor I would also like to thank everyone involved with itp.net - development, design, marketing, sales, and the editorial team from ITP Business and our contributors who make the site what it is.

We have a lot of plans for itp.net, some of which you will see very soon; and if the wealth of web talent that was on show at the award ceremony on Thursday night was anything to go by, then we are not alone in looking toward a new phase of web development in the region.

Secondly, if it is truly better to give than to receive, then itp.net is definitely looking forward to giving our verdict on the Top 100 IT companies in the region. Our itp.net Top 100 is building into an in-depth guide to major players in the sector in the region.

Owing to demand we have pushed back the deadline for companies to nominate themselves for the Top 100, we will now be receiving entries up until 29th November, so please check out itp.net/top100 and see if your organization has been nominated, and if not, make sure they submit before the deadline - nomination is completely free, and the final verdict of the region's leading IT players is sure to form a big focus for the award-winning itp.net.
