Nuetel signs managed services agreement with BT

Three year deal to allow Nuetel to deploy new services and expand across region

Bahraini converged communications operator Nuetel Communications has announced a managed services agreement with BT.

The three year contract, which according to a company statement is ‘multi-million dollar', will see BT providing technical support, monitoring and deployment of services, to give Nuetel access to BT's infrastructure and expertise.

"The outsourcing agreement with BT is a perfect fit to address this market demand, with BT bringing its global capabilities and proven outsourcing track record, and Nuetel contributing an advanced infrastructure, extensive sales capabilities and focus on the Bahraini and Gulf markets," said Labib Matta, CEO of Nuetel Communications.

"In addition, this agreement will extend Nuetel's portfolio of services significantly, allowing Nuetel to expand its services regionally and globally, leveraging the BT global infrastructure," he added.

Karsten Lereuth, President Global Telecom Markets, BT Global Services said: "BT is glad to be able to support Nuetel´s growth strategy with this agreement. It is based on BT´s 21C Operator Services - a new range of innovative services and solutions designed to move communication providers around the world up to next-generation networks, and based on the unique platform of experience BT has built in developing its 21st Century Network."
