Swedish workforce management provider Teleopti is to open a new office in Dubai.

The firm supplies strategic workforce management technology for contact centres and currently claims to supply 35-40% of the Middle East market.

Teleopti's business strategy relies on indirect sales of its workforce management and telecom management systems, and its Dubai office will provide support and pre-sales information, according to Hossam Amer, the Middle East area manager.

"Our office will be doing a number of things. We want to find new partners to supplement our existing partners as well as be close to prospective customers to do pre-sales presentations on the sales and marketing side, as well as brand awareness for the Teleopti brand. We are also here for support, to make sure our customers have the right support and be close to them to help them solve any problems," he says.

The company already has offices in London, Oslo and Delhi and it will soon be opening another new office in Russia, where it claims 60% of the contact centre solutions market.

Amer believes this is the best time to open an office in the Middle East because of Teleopti's strong customer base here.

"Also, we are aiming to increase our market share from its current 35-40% to 80% through our main regional strength, which is that we have localised our solution for this region. So we are almost the only company which has localised its solution into a fully Arabised solution," he adds.

The new office will be based in Dubai Internet City (DIC).
