Bahrain ISP Batelco has announced further price reductions for its inet Dedicated Access services. Starting from this month, both business and education customers will pay less for their monthly rental charges.

This is the second price reduction the organisation has implemented, and it claims that the accumulated difference means customers can now pay up to 50% less than they did pre-August 2006.

Batelco's general manager of corporate affairs, Ahmed Al Janahi, said that as a result of this new tariff reduction, Inet Dedicated access tariffs are among the most competitive in the GCC.

"Batelco has previously promised its business customers further reductions on its inet dedicated packages and now we are delivering on our promises," Al Janahi said, adding that these tariffs "will allow our customers to enhance their productivity and grow their business"

The company's Inet Dedicated Access Service offers round-the-clock internet access at speeds of up to 100Mbps. The dedicated connection is enabled through a point-to-point data connection using Local Leased or LAN Connect or state-of-the art MPLS technologies, meaning that companies can use it to connect their whole network to the internet.

"Moreover customers can benefit from further discounts when they sign-up for fixed-term contracts," Al Janahi added.
