Sun builds Saudi channel

Sun Microsystems has announced the appointment of a new partner for Saudi Arabia. e-Enterprises (e2), a subsidiary of Emirates Computers and Alesayi Communications, will provide the full range of Sun server and storage solutions as well as services to customers in the Kingdom.

Sun Microsystems has announced the appointment of a new partner for Saudi Arabia. e-Enterprises (e2), a subsidiary of Emirates Computers and Alesayi Communications, will provide the full range of Sun server and storage solutions as well as services to customers in the Kingdom.

e2 will target customers in the hospitality, real estate, government, telecom, transportation and utilities sectors, from its offices in Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar.

Jamal Said, general manager of Sun Microsystems in Saudi Arabia, commented: "Saudi Arabia, being the largest market for IT and Communications in the region, is a very important market for Sun. We chose to partner with e2 as it brings with it Emirates Computers' expertise and unmatched track record of implementing some of the biggest projects in the region. While Alesayi's strong local market presence as well as a wide network of customers and partners makes it a perfect partner for Sun in Saudi."
