UAE mobile operator du today launched a new pre-paid charge card that aims to give users more options and more value when charging their mobile phone credits.

The new WoW card, which stands for ‘With More Credit or With More Time', gives the user the option to either charge their phone with a set number of credits that will not expire, or to charge an extra 20% of credit on top of the face value of the card, that expires within a set time limit.

The card will be available at a several set price points including a 20dhs recharge card that gives a value of 24dhs valid for ten days on recharging with the ‘more credit' option, 50dhs gives a value of 60dhs valid for 15 days, 100dhs gives a value of 120dhs valid for 20 days and 200dhs gives a value of 240dhs valid for 30 days.

The idea of the ‘More Credit' option is to allow users to get more talk time than usual, for busy periods when they know that they will need to make more calls. Users can also choose to charge the standard amount of credits, which do not expire.

Osman Sultan, CEO du said: "du is proud to offer the UAE a breakthrough product such as the WoW recharge card, which will change the mobile market completely, given the extremely high percentage of Pay as You Go lines in the UAE. Just as the Pay by the Second billing contributes to reducing mobile charges for customers in the UAE, so the WoW card is another radical product delivered by du to the benefit of customers across the UAE. We continue to increase value, convenience and comfort for our customers, through innovation."

The WoW card will be available through all du stores and 1,200 outlets across the emirates.
