Baud Telecom Company (BTC) has selected Oracle Communication's Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) solution to enable it to easily manage subscriber services in new markets.

The Saudi-based company is diversifying operations beyond its core business of systems integration and network services, to launch as a telecoms operator in the Central African Republic and Somaliland, under a license owned by parent company Saudi Binladin Group.

By deploying Oracle BRM, the company will be able to roll out new services to subscribes, and provide accurate and timely billing for those services, enabling BTC to identify lucrative new services and to maximize the revenues from those services.

Ibrahim Al-Karboush, Country Manager, Carrier Networks division of Baud Telecom Company said: "We have ambitious growth and development plans throughout the next few years. Therefore, we have placed the best technology at our fingertips to help leverage current and future market opportunities. Oracle Communications offers us the appropriate tools to launch services quickly and bill customers accurately, enabling Baud Telecom to tackle the competitive telecommunications market successfully."

Tim Porter, VP EMEA for Oracle's Communications Business Unit said: "In ninety days we can have the infrastructure in place for initial mobile services, so operators can launch new services very rapidly. The CIO or CTO has far more control, and can link services to revenue easily."

The BRM platform, which was deployed by Oracle Professional Services and Giza Systems, will manage billing for all of BTC's intended telecoms operations in the Middle East and Africa.
