Saudi Arabia's Sahara Petrochemicals Company (Sahara) will soon begin the implementation of a SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, SAP Arabia announced at yesterday's show.
The project, which has been dubbed ‘Al-Nufud', will be installed by KSA-based Zamil Tata Information Services (ZTIS) in partnership with India's INCAT, and will centralise several mission-critical processes such as financial reporting and human resources.
Sahara executive president Esam Himdy says the project will standardise and apply best business practices in order to help Sahara and its affiliates to compete more effectively in the marketplace.
"Technology is playing and increasingly important role in the way in which companies function as it introduces process and policy," he says. "SAP technology is an excellent tool that we are using to add value to our internal enterprise resource planning process."
