Samsung is launching new mobile phone and LCD TV products to protect its strong position in these markets.

One exciting new technology promises to more than double the contrast ratio of LCD TVs to 25,000:1, as well as eliminating blur. "The LCD TV market is skyrocketing across the globe, but if you look at this in terms of percentage growth, the Middle East is a huge driver," says Indraneel Mitra, marketing manager, advertising and promotion division.

Samsung has also rolled out new Ultra mobile phones, including the U700, reportedly the slimmest HSDPA slider phone on the market.
