Rome Computer is back again at GITEX for the second time with a much bigger stand than it had last year.

While the company expects to receive more sales enquiries for its existing line of products at GITEX, it is also using the show as a research platform to test the commercial viability of a new document management solution in the region.

"We are currently the exclusive agents for an ink manufactured by German manufacturer, OCP, and supply huge volumes of this to remanufacturers of ink cartridges," says Safa Nias, sales manager for Rome Computer.
"We have a big client base in Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran and the UAE for this but we hope to receive more enquiries here at the show.

We are, however, looking to expand our offerings in the region. As part of these efforts, we are demonstrating a document management solution from a UK-based company called Invu at our stand.

We will test the response of local companies to this solution and if we see that there is a market for this product here, we will offer it commercially," he adds.

The new document management solution enables companies to maintain a paperless office by receiving and sending faxes electronically to recipients.

"This is very environment friendly and also proves cost effective in the long run for companies. We believe this solution will generate a lot of interest in this market," adds Nias.
