Dubai-based Digital Gate makes its very first appearance at GITEX Technology Week and claims it's the only firm in the region to boast a 95% success rate in recovering data from damaged hard drives.

The firm claims that it can recover data from any compromised hard disk drive, no matter the damage.

Furthermore, if Digital Gate is unable to retrieve any data at all from the customer's drive, it will waive all charges.

The company also provides fast recovery services, in those instances where quick retrieval is of high priority.

Mohammad Sunba, managing director of Digital Gate says, "If you lose your data or your hard drive is burnt we can repair it within 24 hours. Our quotations are available on our website and we also provide fast-track services."

Digital Gate operates a ‘Class-100' clean lab facility in Dubai. The lab provides the firm with a what it says is a sterile and secure setting for data retrieval.

The firm counts many firms amongst its customers, including automakers Lexus and Rolls Royce. The firm has also performed recovery work for local bank ADCB, who presented a "tricky case" with a damaged RAID 5 array. In a RAID system, data is 'striped' across multiple physical hard drives, which dramatically improves drive performance and capacity, but makes successful retrieval a nightmare for data recovery specialists.
