Touchmate ME has debuted a raft of new IT and consumer electronics technologies at GITEX Technology Week.

Highlights of the new range include an iPod-based Hi-Fi DVD home theatre system; a wireless MP3 player headset; an MP4 watch that supports MP3 music and provides USB storage; a 20-inch wide screen LCD TV with 180-degree rotation and built-in DVI port; and a Mini Shuffle LCD MP3 player that is available in five colours and features a built-in LCD screen and an FM radio.

"Touchmate is the Middle East's largest PC and peripherals manufacturer," claims Vasant Menghani, managing director of Touchmate owner Quality Gulf.

This year Menghani says Touchmate has taken a strategic decision to broaden the availability of its products for sale at GITEX Shopper & Consumer Electronics Expo 2007.

"Previously, our products were only available through Quality Computers' retail outlets at the Shopper Expo," he says.

"However, this year we've supplied them to retailers including Sharaf DG and CompuME."

Touchmate is also offering an incentive to its export distributors to encourage them to ship greater volumes of its products.

"At the end of each financial year, we will award a car to those distributors that have consistently shipped certain volumes. Low volumes might only merit a Toyota Yaris but high volume purchases could win them a Mercedes-Benz," revealed Menghani.
