Dubai-based distributor Jumbo IT distribution is present at GITEX Technology Week, promoting the efforts of its B-to-B Solutions sub-division. Jumbo B-2-B Solutions is hoping to reach out to customers by showcasing its range of entry-level Sony digital signage screens at its stand at the show.

The solutions provider claims that digital signage screens are a burgeoning trend region, and are fast gaining traction amongst end users in the Middle East, particularly with large corporations with conference rooms, retail outlets and notably in the education sector.

As a distributor, Jumbo IT distribution has a formidable presence amongst the region's reseller community, through its wide range of laptops and IT products.

Headquartered in the UAE, the company distributes across the region, paying particular focus to the South Gulf region. However, according to sales engineer Anoob Ali, the solutions provider is highlighting its digital signage range which it reckons its the technology area with the most promising prospects today.

"We've decided to showcase this range of products because this is the future, this is going to be the next big thing," he said. "We cater to a variety of types of customer as this is an entry-level range".

The company claims it is working with networking companies for its digital signage screen range, as it endeavours to offer a complete solution rather than a single-unit product to customers in the region.

"We're looking to assimilate our hardware with other networking vendors," claims Ali.

"So it's a solution we're offering to our end users and that's what separates us from some of our competitors," he added.

The company is at the show in an effort to extend its customer base in the region. Although Jumbo IT distribution works with a expansive channel across the Middle East, the company admits that it is taking a direct approach to drive sales of its Sony digital signage range.
