Sony Gulf has revealed a new digital display technology that it claims will supersede LCD and plasma.

Organic light emitting diode display (OLED) technology enables the production of super-thin, high-res displays with a contrast ratio of up to 1,000,000:1.

Sony is showcasing an 11-inch prototype display on its stand located in Sheikh Rashid Hall. "In addition to showcasing our extensive range of HD products, we are also working to educate consumers about the benefits of the technology," says Osamu Miura, managing director of Sony Gulf.
