ADC Krone will be looking to expand its market reach across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt with a restructured product offer. Regional director Middle East Henk Schoeman said the company had both copper and fibre connectivity products.

"We have a structured cabling portfolio called TrueNet, which is our Cat-7 version of the product, and then we also have our PLM (physical layer management) system which manages structured networks," he explained.

"We have restructured the TrueNet product both on the product side and on the warranty side. We also have products delivering fibre to the home, which is quite an active market in the Middle East."

Labelling fibre as "definitely the way forward", Schoeman said these products would be focusing on the Du market in the UAE.

"We have structured our offering around fibre, so we can offer fibre infrastructure right from their exchange through to their houses," he added.
