Printer vendor Xerox has appointed an additional distribution partner in the form of Mindware as it looks to increase its penetration of the Middle East entry-level market. The relationship between the pair is initially focused on the UAE, but will be extended to include other territories in the region.

Managed by Xerox's master distributor for the office printing business, Computer and Communication System (CCS), the contract will see Mindware assume a key role in the vendor's marketing strategies and promote its complete range of entry-level printing solutions for consumer and SMB markets.

"With the introduction of our new range of affordable printers, we want to continue to build our presence in the Middle East region, and ensure that our leading entry-level printing solutions are more available to end-users," says Natesh Mani, director of the office business for Xerox MEA. "Consumers are increasingly aware of the importance of this new range, which provides Xerox quality at the prices and efficiency customers demand."

Xerox will continue to work closely with its primary Middle East partner CCS, but believes the addition of another distributor will allow it to reach areas of the second-tier market that have previously escaped it. Mindware serves more than 4,500 resellers.
