Software solutions provider L&T Infotech is holding a free open house service during GITEX Technology Week. Dubbed 'IT Value 4 U', the company's complimentary consultative service will be provided by its team of experts, who aim to offer businesses advice on unlocking the potential of their IT investments.

The Indian headquarted solutions provider claims it will provide advice on a range of topics including: ERP, software integration, business intelligence, data warehousing, shop floor to top floor automation and information security.

"Most enterprises view IT investment as a necessary cost, since they are unable to extract leveraged value," claims V.K. Magapu, CEO at L&T Infotech. "When value is extracted from such investments, this 'necessary cost' becomes a welcome spend and this is the area where we bring to the table our expertise in connecting IT to business," he added.

The company recently announced plans to open an office in Dubai to service the markets in the Gulf and Levant, and revealed it is setting out to generate US$100m of revenue from its first three years in the region.

The solutions provider recently carried out high-profile projects in the Middle East including the implementation of Oracle's e-business suite for the UAE-based Al Shirawi Group, and SAP applications for Oman-based conglomerate Saud Bahwan Group. The company has also identified the Middle East petrochemicals industry as a focus area in the region and has developed business relationships with Saudi Aramco, Sabic and Oman Methanol.

L&T Infotech is part of the US$5 billion turnover Larsen & Toubro Limited, one of India's largest technology-driven engineering organisations. The solutions provider is also ranked by NASSCOM as the 9th largest software and services exporter in India.

The company offers end-to-end software solutions and services to clients in a variety of industry verticals including: manufacturing of auto, industrial products, CPG, chemicals, aero, construction equipment, engineering and construction, energy petrochemicals, product engineering services and banking and financial services.

L&T Infotech says it possesses substantial domain experience and depth in a variety of technologies to deliver its solutions to customers. The company claims it holds rich expertise in technologies from vendors including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, EAI and DW/BI. In addition to application development and maintenance services, L&T Infotech offers consultancy in infrastructure management, independent verification and validation testing services, end-to-end engineering services as well as embedded system solutions.
