Talia, a UK-based provider of satellite internet and voice services, is busy promoting its expanding range of satellite internet and voice services at GULFCOMMS.
Indeed, the company recently announced the long-term lease of a full transponder on the Arabsat BADR-4 satellite, a development which has allowed the company to expand its satellite-based services in the Middle East and North Africa.
Talia will use the 36MHz transponder to provide new services from its partner company iDirect, to its customers throughout the region. "The new transponder will be used for the company's iDirect platform," says Alan Afrasiab, CEO of Talia.
The services available on BADR-4 include new networks on Talia's iDirect shared platform, DVB/SCPC, and SCPC/SCPC services, including iDirect-based iSCPC. Talia will also offer some space for sublease to other providers.
"Leasing a transponder on BADR-4 is just one part of our current expansion plan," Afrasiab says. "We've always been committed to providing the best service in the Middle East and our resellers already say our service is second to none, but we're recommitting ourselves by enhancing our offerings across the board. We aim to be the satellite ISP of choice."
