Sharjah-based Technowave will be aiming to show retailers how its barcoding, wireless and RFID solutions can improve their business at this year's GITEX Technology Week.

"We are strongly presenting the wireless and RFID solutions in the retail and logistics business. Tracking jewellery and watches with cutting-edge RFID technology is the most interesting solution that we are showcasing this year and we will be demonstrating the live application," says Technowave CEO Nainan M. Kurian, who will also be demonstrating an RFID-assisted loyalty management system and next-generation POS software at the show.

"We believe that GITEX Business Solutions is a venue to showcase our products and services to clients from Middle East," says Kurian. "As Technowave is present in the UAE, Bahrain, Oman and India, through its direct offices, and in other countries through its partners, we believe that visitors from these countries will get an opportunity to see us and our solutions."

Though Kurian identifies a growing market and big opportunities, particularly in the UAE, he rules out entering a price war and has opted instead to focus on delivering innovative solutions. His says his strategies for the coming year are to concentrate on the quality customers who understand the value of service and leave the price-sensitive customers to the competition.
