Epson had established its presence at GITEX Technology Week 2007, held from September 8-12 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Epson's focus at GITEX this year revolves around its 3i strategy - imaging on paper, imaging on screen and imaging on glass - which was introduced to achieve a concept of digital image innovation. In line with this strategy, Epson is showcasing its latest range of consumer inkjet printers, multi function printers, laser and photo printers, dot matrix printers, scanners, projectors and retail technology solutions, at its stand B-4-20 in Hall 4.

The company has also displayed its new range of large format inkjet printers incorporating Epson's eight-colour Ultrachrome K3 ink technology to provide what it claims is one of the most cost-effective, fast and flexible printing solutions for professionals in the Point of Sale (POS), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Geographic Information System (GIS) and corporate markets.

Epson's latest Stylus CX Series of multi function devices (MFD) and the Stylus Photo RX models for photo enthusiasts were showcased in the MFD section of its stand. The CX Series accompanied Epson's latest DURABrite Ultra ink, Micro Piezo, easy photo fix scanning and PhotoEnhance technologies, and the Epson Creativity Suite and ABBYY FineReader Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software.

On the other hand, the Stylus Photo RX models of all-in-one printers are made for an affordable home printing solution for photo enthusiasts looking for premium-quality digital and analogue images. The RX models featured Epson's Variable Sized Droplet Technology, PhotoEnhance and Easy Photo Fix technologies that yield smooth, sharp and detailed images.

While the EPL-series of monochrome printer provided a fast, easy-to-use and reliable printing solution for corporate needs, the AcuLaser series of colour laser printers offer high quality printing, copying, colour scanning and full fax functionality in a small footprint for small offices and business work groups.

Epson's scanner segment included the Perfection series of slim and flatbed photo scanners that incorporated Epson's Matrix CCD scanning technology, Digital ICE High Pass Optics and Dual Lens systems, and Easy Photo Fix software with imaging solutions made for amateur and professional photographers.
