Business Objects will be joined by five of its leading local partners for GITEX this year. The business intelligence software vendor will also be giving show visitors the opportunity to update on the latest products from the Business Objects portfolio of BI solutions.

Al Mazroui & Partners; Imtac; Mastermind Technologies; Naizak and Planet Sky will all be present on the Business Objects stand, to promote the vendor's regional channel capabilities.

David Brierley, regional general manager for the Middle East, said: "Gitex Dubai plays an important role in our company's success in the Middle East as it gives us the opportunity to meet existing and potential customers from the entire region. Many of our partners specialize in particular industries or solutions and those who will be joining us on our stand will be able to present their offering to our visitors."

To cater to growing interest for business intelligence solutions, the company will be presenting hourly demonstrations of its flagship Business Objects XI suite of BI applications. Also on show will be Business Objects Crystal Decisions, targeted at small and mid-sized companies.

Jean-Pierre Brulard, VP South West Europe EEMEA commented: "The Middle East market is very important for Business Objects and will continue to grow in significance over the years as large corporations and state-run organizations in the region continue to realize the value of business intelligence. In the last year our local team in the Middle East has moved to a new office in Dubai Internet City and has also doubled in size. Our local team of presales and technical experts means that we are able to provide top quality service and support to our customers, prospects and partners in the region. In 2007 we have continued to enjoy strong momentum and growth in the Middle East and through our increasing commitment to the region we look forward to continued success."
