With the extreme summer heat of Gulf countries, Belgian company ServersCheck has every reason to be optimistic about its potential in the region.

The company is showcasing its server room monitoring software, which includes environmental sensors for temperature, humidity, power failure and water detection, and physical security sensors at GITEX Business Solutions expo.

Maarten Van Laere, of ServersCheck claims the company's goal at this year's event is to find potential resellers for its products in the region.

"The Middle East is a very important region for us because of the issues related to heat and humidity in computer rooms and data centres," he says.

"An air conditioning failure can quickly have a dramatic impact on systems availability.

With our sensors one can detect such issues and respond to it in a prompt way. We are the only company selling a combined offering and having a software solution available in Arabic."
