UK-based Pearson VUE is marking its very first appearance at GITEX Technology Week by talking up its wide array of custom-built and PC-based educational assessment solutions.

When asked what the firm's main aim is at the show, Suzana Lopes, commercial director of the EMEA region (pictured) states, "Pearson VUE is exhibiting at the show in order to help raise awareness of the latest assessment technologies in the Middle East. We currently deliver some four million tests per year in over 4,000 test centres in 153 countries."

The British solutions firm is looking to speak with other firms and educational institutions who currently use paper and pencil-based assessments and would like to move to computerised sytems instead.

At present, Pearson delivers assessments in the USA, UK, Canada, India, Australia, Japan and China. In the Middle East region, the firm has also provided its solutions to organisations in Egypt, the UAE and KSA.

In addition to offering complete end-to-end tailored solutions, the firm can also help with the transition from paper-based assessments to PC systems, as well as providing development and testing support. It also offers registration and scheduling assistance. Interested firms can visit Pearson VUE at stand D8-40.
