A leading Iranian bank has upgraded its systems with software from Avanoc, the European security consulting and solutions provider. Tejarat Bank has implemented a complete new front office application as well as Avanoc’s authentication security solution.

In another customer win, Avanoc announced it will be providing authentication security to First Gulf Bank in Abu Dhabi. Avanoc’s other main line of business, software for the telecommunications industry, has achieved success in the Middle East. Avanoc recently implemented its customer relationship management and billing solutions for a leading regional telco, adding to its list of clients in the region.

“In the authentication sector or in the legal interception solutions sector we are the market leader by far,” said Dr Kamran Ghaderi, CEO of Avanoc.

The company’s interception solution, which allows legal agencies to monitor telephone calls and is a legal requirement in most countries, is in use in 14 countries in the Middle East. Though it has an impressive client list, because of security reasons Avanoc isn’t allowed to identify the telcos that use its solution.

The First Gulf Bank news comes as a boost to Avanoc at a time when it has just opened a Dubai office. The company is headquartered in Austria, but also has an office in Iran.
